A
successful company is like a good fisherman. The production team holds
the fishing rod and reel, the marketing team knows where to find the best
fishing spots, the sales team reels in the catch, and advertising is the
bait. It needs to capture the consumer’s attention and get them
to come in for a closer look. It can't be too flashy so that it scares
them off, nor can it be so muted that it blends in with the rest of the
background.
For the last year, I was one of two copywriters
for MGA Entertainment, which is a major toy company. I was solely responsible
for writing packaging copy for the Little Tikes and Rescue Pets brands,
among others. I was also responsible for other materials like print
ads, licensing copy and style guides.
While I will never show you my attempts at tying
flies, I am happy to show you samples of my work. If you feel that my
experience matches your needs, please contact me with the feedback form
available here. I look forward
to hearing from you!
